Alma is the brain child creation of Rocio Carrasco-Fonseca and Polly Fokas. The Studio opened it's doors in November 2009 with the sole aim of offering a new and vibrant take on the Pilates method of exercise. Alma is derived from the greek word which signifies leaps and bounds and the Spanish for soul, thus encapsulating the dedication to contemporary learning of the method Pilates in Greece.

The Studio itself is an elegant space both well lit and easy on the eye, creating the ideal atmosphere for each student's needs whether in a group or individually.
Both RocĂo and Polly, founding members of the Greek Pilates Association, trained in Corpus Ray Studio in Athens, closely collaborating with it's sister studio in New York. Their training is based on the principles of classical, systematic and integrative method of exercise afforded by the school of Power Pilates. They attend seminars regularly, not only for Power Pilates, but closely follow other methods such as Peak, Basi and Sttot in order to put into practice and fully achieve the ultimate goal of wellness, balance and strength which is integral to this form of exercise.
